Created by Tim Fielder, INFINITUM is a fully rendered graphic novel coming out from HarperCollins/Amistad in 2020. The creation of INFINITUM was a herculean effort in the technical and aesthetic arena Visual Afrofuturism. Fielder has utilized his decades of experience in the gaming, cartooning, and film industries to add plausibility and authenticity to the characters and environments in which they perform.
The challenge being to create a story founded in the black experience, yet visually explosive enough to connect with all ethnicities and genders. This talk will review and reveal the steps utilized to bring INFINITUM to life. The talk promises to be both entertaining and informative in a field that shows great promise.

Graphic Novelist and Filmmaker, Dieselfunk Studios
Tim Fielder is an NYC based graphic novelist, concept designer, and animator. He is known for his award winning graphic novel, Matty’s Rocket, and TEDx talk on the subject of Afrofuturism. In Summer of 2020 Tim's fully rendered Afrofuturist epic graphic novel, ÍNFINITUM' will be published by HarperCollins imprint, Amistad. As a life-long afrofuturist, he has aspired to create works that explore the dramatic narratives generated in the intersections of race and technology. To produce these visual narratives, Tim founded Dieselfunk Studios. And life hasn’t been the same since. Dieselfunk Studios is a multimedia company that specializes in narrative stories told in sequential, app, and virtual formats for the traditional and emerging markets.
